After making this about every other day for 2 weeks I’m pretty confident in the recipe and am ready to share it!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie Shake!
This drink is a mix between a smoothie and a shake. It doesn’t contain ice cream, and you can switch to almond milk or your favorite milk substitute to make it dairy free if you want. The bananas make it cold and creamy like a shake. THERE IS SO MUCH PROTEIN IN THIS. Guaranteed to keep you full between meals. You don’t notice the banana that much, but it tastes just like a peanut butter cup.
Add the following to a blender. I try to add it in this order so the powder doesn’t fly all over the blender and stays in the drink.
- 3/4 C low fat milk or milk substitute
- 1/2 TBSP cocoa powder
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 2 TBSP peanut butter (add another tablespoon if you want a stronger flavor)
- 2 frozen bananas
Blend for about a minute. This will make 1 serving of about 12-14oz.
